From Military Service to Cybersecurity
Shawn Gavigan served in the United States Army as a 31U Signal Support Systems Specialist, attached to the 108th Patriot Missile Battalion. He deployed to Saudi Arabia, where he supported signal and communications systems critical to air defense operations.
That experience shaped everything that came after. After transitioning to the private sector, Shawn built a career in IT operations and cybersecurity, ultimately founding ReLoIT to deliver the kind of security he knew organizations actually needed: direct, senior-level, and built on trust.
The name ReLoIT reflects that journey. A reloading, a fresh start, bringing military-grade discipline to the world of information technology.
Military Values, Business Results
The traits that make great soldiers make great security professionals.
Mission First
In the military, the mission comes first. At ReLoIT, our mission is protecting our clients. We bring the same urgency, planning, and accountability to cybersecurity that the military instills in every service member.
Discipline & Standards
Military service teaches you that standards exist for a reason. They save lives. We apply that same rigor to security frameworks, compliance controls, and incident response. No shortcuts, no exceptions.
Team Over Individual
The military builds teams that trust each other under pressure. We operate the same way, as an extension of your team, not a vendor behind a ticket queue. When things go wrong, we're in the fight with you.
Service Beyond Self
Veterans understand what it means to serve something bigger than yourself. That ethos drives how we treat clients, hire team members, and give back to the veteran community.
Our Commitment to Veterans
We know firsthand that military experience translates directly to cybersecurity. The skills veterans bring (threat assessment, operational security, working under pressure, protecting critical assets) are exactly what this industry needs.
That's why we're committed to supporting the veteran community, both as employers and as advocates for the military-to-cyber pipeline.
